Occupation
I’m not a poet
I’m not even a writer
I’m just another word-dreamer
I’m not a poet
I’m not even a writer
I’m just another word-dreamer
You and me
On the rock, dissolving
In the soft moonlight
Your back arched
In pregnant pleasure
Framing the tangent
Between light and shadow
Me on my back
Watching you stretch
My (simple) name
In ecstatic amplitude
A magical night
Of unnoticed union
In lambent woods
—–
Your hands
Instruments of pleasure
Building towers of tension
Interlocked
In your perfect groove
I stretch and turn
To taste your
Upper hardened softness
And then
The intimate exudation
In the pristine folds
Of my handy companion
—–
Picture this!
My tongue
Tracing the wet outlines
Of your liquid lips
My fingers flowing along
Your softened curves
And then
My body enveloping yours
With the comfortable heat
Of my rising sensuality
I ride on the gossamer wings of dawn
Watching the world below slowly wake up
The dark tendrils of the night slowly withdraw
Leaving a pale blue light in their wake
Grey clouds move in stately fashion
Their edges lit up by invisible sun rays
Dead shadows spring to life with a passion
As a soulful morning tune plays
Around me a soft wind blows
Gathering old memories in its gentle embrace
Isn’t this how time flows?
Erasing old yesterdays without a trace
Shining dew drops drip down the eaves
While a fresh and clean smell pervades the air
As trees shake sleep out of their leaves
Birds trill gay secrets, old and rare
The best part of the day
Gently moves aside for the rising sun
With vague promises of another bright day
Arise! The king has started on his majestic procession
Salted beans
Swirling in the green
Liquid, like
Submerged elephant-gods
I dip my finger
Into the verdant concoction
Parting the colliding
Waters, like a modern Moses
A delicate softness
A sweaty embrace
Steamy yet sublime
Wet yet velvety
I lick my finger
A twang of lime
A breath of garlic
A whisper of coriander
An invisible explosion
A subliminal movement
A steady flow of
Sensual sensations
In the black light
Of night
I want to merge
The acme of my emotion
In your fervent receptacle
—–
The warm afternoon
Sunlight
Plays hide and seek
With our shadows
As we stare
At each other
And wonder
How many years
Have gone by
In the outside world
—–
We walked
Through the silent leaves
Crackling
In our heads
We talked
Through our thoughts
Making patterns
In our eyes
We united
Through the limpid waters
Collected from
Our frazzled souls
—–
And I looked
At the sky
To see
Dark clouds
Form your face
Distant, unperturbed
By my fears
And desires
—–
We talked
Through the night
About old loves
And new wants
Holding hands
Watching the dew settle
On the tired grass
—–
In your ears
I whisper
Sublime sounds
Making you
Squirm with
Repressed passion
—–
You sleep
Beside me
Golden dust-motes
Hovering-
Around your head
I look at you
And wonder
Why you love me
—–
I lie
In you arms
Day-dreaming
You ask me
“Is there love dear?”
I smile
“Look at me?”, I say
Question answered
—–
In the shade
We sit
Back to back
Watching the sunlight
Create warm patterns
On the fallen leaves
The slow breeze
Flowing through us
Like a brook of bliss
—–
I sit here
Counting the snowflakes
In your wet hair
Drops of water
Drip down your cheeks
I lean forward
And lick them off
Colored waters of love, from
The depths of your pensive soul
—–
Oh!
At the end
Are we?
Scaling our thoughts
But not the feelings
Do we really understand
Each other?
Or is it a masked dance
Of decaying deceit?
—–
Enough now
Of this hide and seek
Let’s lift the blindfold
And see
Everything as it is
My love
Spread like used color
On the floor
Your love
Curling into corners
Each scared
Of the other’s
Iron grasp
—–
I was
A fool
To believe
Your fingers
As they traced
The outlines
Of our hollow love
—–
Our stream
Has come
To a stop
The evening falls
Like wet tears
Its shadows coursing
Down my cheeks
Loneliness
Creeps in behind
The fading light
Softly, silently
I labor
To breathe
In the heavy air
Filled with my yearning
For
Your smile, your smell
Your skin, your taste
Clinging to my mind
Like fading memories
Time seems to slip
Away
Into the cracks
Between our separated souls
As I look
To the east
And watch
Your flight to freedom
Your images
Keep flashing
On my inner eye
A long kiss in the woods
Confessing inner desires
Sleeping together
In the quiet afternoon
Our love entwined
Between us
—–
A long train
Of moving pictures
You and me
In love
The burning kiss
The lingering embrace
Warm
Like your red lips
And my brown eyes
Glistening
With slow desire
—–
I remember you
Still
That shy smile
That secret glint
That quiet wisdom
That hidden strength
The playful hands
And sensuous eyes
Touching the root
Of my wild desires
—–
Do you remember still?
That surprised night
Awkward and fumbling
You not ready
Me undecided
And confused
But
Do you regret
Letting down your guard
So suddenly?
I died
A thousand births
In your intimate words
Close
Your eyes
And see
The prism of my longing
Split the colors
Of my love
Into a rainbow of loneliness
I saw
You at 3 am
In a distant dream
Pensive and withdrawn
Collecting marbles
Of desire
From the mantelpiece
And arranging them
On the coffee-table
To form my name
—–
At 10 am
I heard your voice
Whispering in my ear
I smiled
And cupped your sounds
In my fist
And jiggled them
To gel with
The sound of my love
And then
Hung them in the sky
To match
The colors of the rainbow
—–
At midnight
We exchanged
Dreams sleeping
In our eyes
A bond
Of trust
And inner fears
Rivulets of passion
Flowing through
Our thoughts
We slipped into
Liquid love
