Blue Wonder
A ray
of light
illuminates
my raw past.

So soon, so soon
my silent dreams
fell from the
premature skies.

Look at our transient reflections
filled with a million lies
staring at us
like stuffed animals.

At last
an emptiness
filled by
rippling applause.
—–
This red fire
between my lips
breaking down airy atoms
into elemental energy.
—–
Death-
as a rainbow
lives in the sky,
painting his thoughts
in bright pastels,
using vowels as his
vessels of voyage.

Blank pages, white curios,
clever fonts, simple sunshine,
eager hunger, blue wonder,
angry lines, limpid sounds,
polite panic, smooth tonic.
A collection of intricate images
hung out to dry
under the benign heat
of my innocent imagination.

The angel
of sleep
creeps under
my eyelids
and migrates
to my mind
switching off
my soul lights.
it reads like two separate poems, or perhaps i missed the rhythm. the last lines are immaculate..
You are awakening from a long sleep, a long dream. This does not seem bitter, but grateful for the honesty amidst the interplay of darkness and light.
Sleep now, for your soul is exhausted.
