Blue Wonder

A ray
of light
illuminates
my raw past.

——

So soon, so soon
my silent dreams
fell from the
premature skies.

—–

Look at our transient reflections
filled with a million lies
staring at us
like stuffed animals.

—–

At last
an emptiness
filled by
rippling applause.

—–

This red fire
between my lips
breaking down airy atoms
into elemental energy.

—–

Death-
as a rainbow
lives in the sky,
painting his thoughts
in bright pastels,
using vowels as his
vessels of voyage.

—–

Blank pages, white curios,
clever fonts, simple sunshine,
eager hunger, blue wonder,
angry lines, limpid sounds,
polite panic, smooth tonic.

A collection of intricate images
hung out to dry
under the benign heat
of my innocent imagination.

—–

The angel
of sleep
creeps under
my eyelids
and migrates
to my mind
switching off
my soul lights.

  1. Black Tulip says:

it reads like two separate poems, or perhaps i missed the rhythm. the last lines are immaculate..

  2. Mermaid says:

You are awakening from a long sleep, a long dream. This does not seem bitter, but grateful for the honesty amidst the interplay of darkness and light.

Sleep now, for your soul is exhausted.

  3. Anil says:

Black Tulip: Actually, each one (separated by the two small lines) is a little fragment, a separate poem if you may. And as always, thank you for dropping by and commenting.

Mermaid: Time after time, I’m surprised at the way you ‘get’ the reason/essence of these posts perfectly. Even though all these were written at various time points in the distant past they form a snapshot of my present mood. Thank you.

    Dude.. you are a genius…

  5. I’ve missed feeling/hearing/seeing your creative gifts.
Your journey of introspection, experience, and awakening is shared with beautiful imagery and symbolism.
Your music choice captures the feel of your work from top to bottom or vice versa. (Ironically, my current post is about music: this time: classical.)
This time I’m adding you to my feeds, now that I know what they do, so I won’t lose track of you, although I think we both read the same Mermaid. 🙂

  6. I did not write a quote: “Your comment looks dirty.” If this is a joke, I do not “get it.” If it’s anti-spam filtering, I understand and will laugh. :)Check me out. Mermaid links to me and vice versa.
