As I mentioned yesterday, I did get to shoot later in the evening. In fact, I ended up shooting a lot! Here is the first one. More to follow over the next few days. The locations for the shoot were some barley and wheat fields near the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding, which is slightly outside Cologne.

This is perhaps the last photo in the Circus series. I really should go out and shoot something new. But the weather is so dreary and dull here that I don’t feel like taking my cameras out. Hope the weather clears soon! And oh, the two huge blobs you see at the either side of the photo on the bottom (also present in a few of the other photos I posted previously from the circus) are the heads of two people who were sitting in front of me in the circus. I couldn’t avoid them in almost all the photos I shot there.

I managed to copy some of my backed up photos to the Mac at work and I’m posting today’s photo from there. He is the same person as in the previous photo but I thought this photo would present a completely different mood compared to the previous one.

(Note-22.05.06: Unfortunately, my laptop crashed yesterday and looks like I’ve to give it in for repair. It might be gone for a few weeks. So I don’t think I’ll able to post quite as regularly as before. I’ll try to post, if possible, from this Mac in my lab. Fortunately, I made a backup of my photos, lab data etc., a few days back so hopefully I haven’t lost anything. Keep your fingers crossed and do keep visiting!)

Another macro of the flower. Somehow I’m not very satisfied with this photo but I decided to post it anyway as I like the way the light is reflected in the droplet.

Another shot of the hibiscus-like flower from yesterday. For the first time after buying it, the versatile nature of my tripod came in handy while taking this (and subsequent) shot(s). Actually, this was shot hand-held and not using a tripod!

Let us leave the world of monochrome for a moment and enjoy the world of color once more! Here is a macro of a flower from my garden, which actually is beginning to resemble a tropical jungle these days! I managed to a get quite a few shots I liked from these flowers so you can expect to see more of these over the next few days. I’m not very good with flower names but this seems to be a variant of the hibiscus.

I didn’t realize that I had passed the 200 photo mark a few days back. So this is to mark that although it technically isn’t the 200th photo.

I don’t know how clear it is from the photo but this is not a mirror image. It is actually two different circus performers held up by two different hands! The photo is cropped and flipped horizontally from the original.
