I’ve mixed feelings about this shot. On one level the abstractness appeals to me but on the other hand the lack of obvious interest points in the photo seems to make it too vague. But in the end I liked the whole ‘what the hell was he thinking when he took this?’ mood this photo evokes and so decided to post it!

So the People’s Week here comes to a close with another street photo. I had fun posting exclusively people photos. I hope you had fun seeing them. Regular random programming resumes soon!

Yesterday, I decided to post only people photos here for the next one week. So today’s photo is the second in the series, yesterday’s being the first.

This photo is quite old, shot a couple of years back and scanned recently. Three other photos in the same series were posted before on visual obscurity at the beginning of this year. You can find them here, here and here.

I caught up with scanning of some old photos recently. This photo was shot during the Cologne marathon all the way back in 2004.

Thanks for the comments yesterday. Like yesterday, this was scanned from film. As you can tell my film scanner is pretty basic, it can’t get all the detail or the dynamic range. But due to economic reasons I’ve to make do with it.
